Ebay-Bashing Anonymous

Turns out Phil lost out on the *widget* he was trying to bid on.  Another Ebay member out-bid him during the last few seconds of the auction.  Don't you hate that?! As soon as I heard him from across the house kiwi-swearing, I knew he missed out.  Poor lad.  I'm almost positive he's sworn off Ebay until further notice.  Unless there's something that he thinks no one will want. In conclusion, I'm sure there's Ebay-bashing in store at the Thompson household!

Indian Food

Last night Phil and I went to Thali for dinner. After working all day at my desk, without a lunch break, I really needed to scarf down two heaping plates of Indian food.  Going that long without something to eat makes a girl REALLY grumpy. Speaking of work, things have been super duper hectic at work.  To the point where I almost feel guilty for not staying late like everyone else.  As soon as the clock strikes 5:00 my computer is locked up and I'm out the door!  Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it sums up how I feel about watching the clock approach 5:00 during the last hour of work.  I was telling Phil today, I'm much more confident about my work product these days.  I feel as though my work is accurate and thorough, that my co-workers come to me for questions that I can answer, and that my turn-around time is very quick.  So when I work so hard during the day, it's hard to squeeze another second out of me when the bell rings.  I'm sure I'm not the only one to feel this way... after all -- Phil always beats me home.  I think he leaves work at 3:00 most of the time.  And to think, he is the 2006 Salesman of the Year.  I am so proud.

I Love a Kiwi

kissy2.jpg

My first post ever!... been staring at the computer trying to think of something clever for this monumental occasion until my hubby broke my concentration and took the mouse.  "Look, no one is bidding on this awesome *widget* on ebay! 46 more minutes and it will be mine!" (insert evil laugh here) The *widget* is some new doo-hickey thing that Phil absolutely HAS to have for his Suzuki TL1000S.  The motorbike is second on his list of things he loves most on this earth.  I'm the first. After all, we only celebrated our 3 month wedding anniversary a few days ago. Sometimes I think I compete with Brutus for the #1 spot, but only if I'm being particularly snarky.
